Tips for How to Maintain Your Vacuum

Your vacuum cleaner works hard to keep your home clean, free from dust and allergens and for making your home the safe, comfortable place that you deserve. However, even sturdy machines like vacuum cleaners can get tired and that is when maintenance from a Broomfield vacuum shop comes into the picture. Here are some easy upkeep tasks that can prolong the life of your vacuum cleaner:

-          Replace or empty the dust bag or the dust container – if you notice that your vacuum cleaner delivers less suction power, the most common cause is a full dust bag or container. If your appliance uses a disposable bag, remove the used bag and attach a new one; if your dust bag is reusable or the machine uses a cleanable container, remove the unit and clean it, then insert it into the machine again;

-          Clean the brush roll – hair, lint and other debris can easily wrap around the roll, so it is a good idea to check the brush every couple of weeks and to clean it;

-          Check the hose – small objects can get stuck in the hose, too, so you should check it every couple of weeks;

-          Check and clean the filters – if your machine uses disposable filters, make sure to replace them regularly. If your vacuum uses permanent filter, remove them and clean them according to the product instructions.
