Cleaning up your carpet and furniture can be more difficult than normal, if you have a problem with pet hair. Cats and dogs tend to shed, and the hair they part with will usually end up on your furniture or on your floors. While wooden furniture and hardwood floors can be cleaned more easily, you’ll find that there might be some difficulty when it comes to removing pet hair from upholstery, carpets and rugs.
Water combined with some fabric softener will do wonders to
help you avoid the effort of scrubbing pet hair away from your carpets and
upholstery. Once you apply the fabric softener, it won’t take long before the
fabric holding the pet hair will become easier to manage, and then you can
remove the pet hair with a simple rubber glove or some wipes. A trip to a local vacuum store for Simplicity vacuum repair will do wonders as well.
For tougher carpets, you can also use a pumice stone. This method will allow you to scrub the pet hair right off and ensure that your carpet remains undamaged. Be sure to avoid using this method on expensive, old or fragile carpets, as it might do more harm than good.
Finally, be sure to go through all areas and in all directions while you use your vacuum on a carpet that has a lot of pet hair. We would also recommend getting a steam cleaning device or a vacuum fitted with a reliable HEPA filter that can remove even the smallest pet hair from your rugs.
