Vacuum cleaners are among the most used household appliances. In general, you can use a vacuum cleaner for years, before it breaks down, and some people choose to replace it not because it doesn't work anymore, but because they want an appliance with newer, more modern functions like that of the Simplicity vacuums.
When a vacuum cleaner breaks down, its repair can cost more than purchasing a brand new one. The repair is viable only as long as the appliance is still under warranty (you can benefit from free repairs!), or the defect is minor; otherwise, things get complicated, spare parts are expensive, often out of use and very difficult to find, so in the end, you have all the “chances” to find out that the repair was not worth the effort and, even less, the money.
