Whole House Cleaning Checklist Kitchen

Kitchen Cleaning Store Vacuum Mop

The kitchen is one of the very important areas of the house, and for the general health of the family, it is necessary to be hygienic and well organized. This means that every surface food can reach must be clean and free of germs. You need to know everything you have on the shelves and throw away products that are too old or expired.

Here is a list of various cleaning tasks that need to be done in the kitchen - not necessarily all at once, but with a periodicity that you decide.

·       General cleaning - this includes vacuuming walls, cleaning windows, tiles, floors, furniture etc.

·       Sorting kitchen products, throwing away what is old, expired or damaged, reviewing the content of each drawer and shelf, vacuuming and repositioning objects

·       Cleaning large household appliances:

  • The refrigerator should be cleaned weekly, inside and out.
  • The freezer as well, once every six months.
  • The stove should receive a daily polish and a cleaning at least weekly.
  • The sink should be cleaned daily. Being one of the central objects, a clean and shiny sink will positively change the aspect of the kitchen – which cannot be said about a dirty sink, permanently full of dishes.
  • The dishwasher requires a periodic cleaning of the filters and a decalcification (the frequency of this last operation depends on how calcareous is the water in the area where you live).
  • Small appliances - especially those used daily (e.g. bread toaster) should be cleaned weekly.
