Robotic vacuums are great, modern inventions
that use advanced technologies, including cordless operation, scheduling for
the cleaning sessions and many other functions, but even so, many people are
reluctant to use them and consider traditional vacuums superior to cute, modern
vacuuming robots – here are their arguments:
-
Vacuuming the stairs –
vacuuming robots cannot go on stairs, so if you have stairs in your home, you
will need a conventional cleaner anyway, even if you have a robot;
-
Suction power – traditional
vacuums are larger than robots, so the motors they are fitted with are larger
and stronger, too and they are able to deliver more suction;
-
Maintenance – while
traditional vacuums also need to be cleaned and need Dyson vacuum cleaner parts every now and then, robotic vacuums
need much more attention. Robotic brushes and bearings need to be cleaned once
a week and the internal debris caught in the chassis also needs to be removed
once a month;
-
Price – traditional vacuums,
even complex and sophisticated ones are affordable for everyone (you can easily
find small, non-name brand items for some 30 dollars), while the price of
robotic units start in the hundreds of dollars range and you can find lots of
models that come with hefty price tags of over a thousand dollars.
